Rail Land Development Authority (RLDA)

Rail Land Development Authority (RLDA) is a statutory Authority, under the Ministry of Railways, set up by an Amendment to the Railways Act, 1989, for development of vacant Railway Land for commercial use with the objective of generating revenue through non-tariff measures. RLDA was constituted through an Extraordinary Gazette Notification dated 31.10.2006, which was subsequently amended on 05.01.2007. The Rules for the functioning of RLDA were also notified in the Extraordinary Gazette dated 04.01.2007.
